How Facebook Messenger Audio and Video Calling is breaking the Ice between Many

Being in a long distance relationship, or simply, missing someone really special is an emotionally draining aspect. Feeling gloomy? Hey! Facebook is here is with its messenger audio and video calling features for those who just want to feel a little closer to their loved ones. Yes, now you can enjoy video and audio with Facebook, and this goes well beyond the News Feed.

These features are easy on fingers and so amazing that everyone is going crazy, just like me. Well, audio and video calling features are quite popular, the statement by Mark Zuckerberg – “400 million people are making audio and video calls” says it all. And yes, thanks to the Christmas launch of multi-screen group video chat that looks similar to the sky shooting startup idea. Messenger is starting to become a VoIP giant like Facebook’s other chat app WhatsApp, which saw 100 million audio calls per day as of June.

Zuckerberg also repeated Facebook’s plans for video content. He planning that Facebook is now empowering in partners producing longer-form professional videos. For now, in the effort to offer speedy internet to all of its users, and everyone else in the world, Facebook says, it’s connected 50 million people to web, up from 40 million last quarter. Eventually, these efforts could pay off in terms of user growth and average revenue per user growth in the developing world. Video ads command the highest rates, and broadband access could help Facebook earn more from users in remote areas.

Facebook’s video calling feature could put the squeeze on an array of competitors, including Google’s new Duo video chat app, Skype, and Snapchat. Because Facebook is so ever-present, it can be more convenient than trying to set up a video chat with someone on other apps when you might not have their personal phone number, email address or username, making better than the others.  With Facebook, all you need is their name and you can talk face to face. Sound interesting? Isn’t it?

In simpler words, this social media platform is helping people to connect with each other virtually, and still feel the emotions that you want to express. So, just pick your phone or laptop, enjoy group video call on Facebook! It is really fascinating!
