Every Fact You Need to know About Adaptation of Digitalization in India

In the past years, India has surely impressed the world with its growth rate. The current GDP of India is 7.6%. And, the entire credit goes to continuous effort taken by the government to offer an edge to the growth of this country. One of the major changes taken place was in 2015 when PM Narendra Modi launched Digital India Campaign. Its foremost objective is to provide government services to Indian citizen digitally by connecting rural India with high-speed interest.

Under the initiative, the Indian government aims to accomplish:

  • Delivery of services digitally
  • Improving digital infrastructure
  • Digital literacy

From the beginning, “Digital India” and “Make in India” have been the two massive USPs of Prime Minister – Narendra Modi. In short, the government is leaving no stone unturned to transform India into a power packed digital country. I think if India continues to move ahead at this pace, soon it will be listed among the developed countries. Truly an inspiration!

Here are some highlights of this campaign:

My Gov.in

This is like a completely new aspect of India through which citizens can engage in the process of governance. “Discuss”, “Do ”, and “Disseminate” is the clear approach of this campaign.

Digital Locker System

The foremost objective of the campaign is to minimize the usage of physical documents, and allow sharing of e-documents across agencies. You just need to register and update your documents to  access them online. Sounds interesting? Isn’t it?

Swatch Bharat Mission Mobile app

Masses and various government organizations can use it for achieving the prime objective of Swachh Bharat Mission.

It was introduced under the hospital application, which offers vital services such as online registration, payment of fees and appointments, online diagnostic report, and so on.

The crux of the matter is, India is going through its most significant phase where it is trying to connect everyone with the world and the technology. And, the government is taking notable steps to make sure that by 2018 its all villages have great mobile connectivity. It will be really interesting to see how India will achieve its goals.
